Scholarship Requirements 2024-25

The Amy Heryford Ousley and James Heryford Ousley Educational Fund

Eligibility: Students must have attended a Klamath County high school all four years and along with their parents or guardians have been residents of Klamath County during those four years and be current residents of Klamath County as of July 1st of the year in which the student is applying for a scholarship. Students who graduate in less than four years or obtain a GED certificate are also eligible to apply to the Fund. Graduate students are also eligible to apply.

Students must have a good scholastic record (3.0 grade point average or better) and have a need for financial assistance.

Current college students or graduate students who graduated from a Klamath County High School and meet the other requirements are also eligible to apply. Current college students must have a minimum annual or cumulative grade point average as follows: freshman, 2.2; sophomores, 2.35; and juniors, 2.5. All students must carry such number of hours as will permit normal progress toward graduation in four years.

Students may elect to attend any private nonprofit or public nonprofit college, university, community college, vocational or technical school in the United States. Students must enroll as and continue to be full-time students to receive funding.

Completed applications and all attachments must be postmarked by March 20, 2024

Decisions are typically announced by June 1st.
